City Clerk
The office of the City Clerk is responsible for:
- Business registration and licenses
- Coordinating cemetery activities with funeral homes and families
- Assigning cemetery plots
- Attending City Commission and board meetings
- Preparing resolutions and ordinances for Commission review and approval
- Document custodian for the City
- Human Resources for City of Lovington employees
Shannon Lester is the Clerk for the City of Lovington and has held this position since 2019. As an employee of the City since 2001, Shannon has served in the capacity of Executive Assistant, Accounting Clerk, and Deputy City Clerk. |
