Shannon Lester

Shannon Lester is a dedicated public servant who has been serving the city of Lovington since 2001. As the current City Clerk, Shannon is responsible for a wide range of important tasks, including business registration and licensing, cemetery activities, and document management for the City. She brings to her role over two decades of experience working for the City of Lovington, having served previously as Executive Assistant, Accounting Clerk, and Deputy City Clerk. In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities, Shannon attends City Commission and board meetings, prepares resolutions and ordinances for Commission review and approval, and manages Human Resources for City of Lovington employees. With her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and deep commitment to the community, Shannon is a highly respected leader who is dedicated to ensuring that the City operates efficiently and effectively for the benefit of all its residents.
