1. Can we get the specific location/address of the site?
There is no assigned street address for this parcel. The property is located south of 103 S. 17th Street, Lovington, NM.
2. Is there a boundary or ALTA survey available for this site that you can share?
The City does not have an ALTA survey on file. Pettigrew & Associates conducted survey work in the area related to the drainage pond; developers may wish to contact them directly to determine availability.
3. What is the current zoning designation for this site? Are there any zoning restrictions, overlays, or planned changes?
The property is currently zoned Commercial. There are no overlays or planned changes at this time. If a proposed project requires residential or mixed-use zoning, a rezoning application would need to be submitted. This process includes review by the Planning & Zoning Commission and final approval by the City Commission.
4. Are there any known environmental conditions or remediation requirements for the site?
No known environmental conditions or remediation requirements have been identified.
5. What utilities are currently available (water, sewer, electricity, gas)?

Water: City water main is located along 17th Street (adjacent to the property).

Sewer: A City sewer main runs along the south side of the property.

Electric & Gas: Developers should verify availability directly with the local utility providers.
6. Can you share information on the floodplain status for this site?
The property is not located within a FEMA-mapped Special Flood Hazard Area. However, stormwater retention and drainage facilities are located nearby to help manage runoff and stormwater control.
7. Are there any incentives available for developers (housing or mixed-use development)?
Yes. The City of Lovington, through the Economic Development Corporation, currently offers a housing incentive program. Details are available here: Lovington EDC Housing Incentive RFP.
8. Has there been any community engagement or planning work done for this parcel?
The only planning work conducted to date is related to stormwater drainage and retention improvements for the surrounding area (to the west and north). No additional engagement or planning efforts specific to this parcel have been conducted.
